Getting started with Source Filmmaker

Hey guys so I got a request from Atreimes asking about how to get going with SFM and desied to make a blog post about it.

1) First you need a steam product and steam User name.
     1.1) get a steam ID here:Link
     1.2) get a steam product I suggest TF2 as it's free.
1.3) Source film maker itself can be download in steam and is free!

2) Non Adult Content
2.1) their is a lot of nonadult content that comes with Source filmmaker as all TF2 content is all ready in the resources
2.2) Some gerry's mod content works in SFM (lot of bugs with some content) Link
2.3) Steam has a workshop set up for people to post content (most works) Link

3) Adult Content
3.1) SFM Lab has a lot of nonadult but also a lot of adult content (log in required for adult section)
3.2) Digital Ero has a lot of content but the site recently changed hands or some thing so it's not entirely clear whats going on. try these links Link 1 or Link 2 these will probably change soon
3.3) my favorite website is Lord Aardvark Link
         3.3.1) big release here Link
3.4)Also this guy has stuff to download or links to download Link

4) Learning Source filmmaker
4.1) first thing you should work through is this tutorial Link It's made by Valve and really does a great job taking you from zero to ready to go.
    4.2) how to scale Link
4.3) super helpful quick reference guide Link

Good luck, it's hard to get started but it's a lot easier then Daz3d and poser wants you get use to it. Also if you try to export a picture it wont fully render the screen my adivce is to exprot it as a move, the use the series of pictures option  and set it to render only 0.05 seconds.

Best of luck!
